Snowstorm babysitting…

of a different type. Due to the impending snowstorm, my friend had the honor (not sure if she would say that…she was the only teacher without a dog) of bringing home the new baby chicks from her preschool class to feed until the farmer can pick them up on Monday. They are so cute!

Something’s in the works…

NYC families stay tuned!

A Homemade Valentine’s Day…

Don’t get me wrong, I certainly appreciate flowers from my husband, but waking up to these sweet gifts from my girls meant the world to me!

Things to do in a Nor’easter…

PLAY and EAT!!

There is nothing like a hot bowl of chili during a snow storm. I tried an awesome recipe from Allrecipes.com called Three Bean Slow Burn Chili. After omitting the habaneros and substituting mild for hot salsa…it was STILL on fire! I like spicy but next time I will use half the amount of red pepper flakes and chili powder. Oh…I also added about 3 Tbs of liquid smoke and simmered in the crockpot for 2 hours. Chili lovers…give it a try!

More snow…
